Filling in the [Blank] to Support Local Organizations

Project [Blank]

NebraskaLand Bank is celebrating their 25th anniversary in a unique way by launching the Project [Blank] initiative! The Bank has divided its employees into teams and has challenged them to fill in the blank with creative projects that will benefit their local communities. Through Project [Blank], NebraskaLand Bank hopes to not only support local organizations but also give its employees an opportunity to use their skills and ingenuity for good.

Project [Blank] Initiatives:

  • Let’s pay it forward!  One of our Kearney teams is planning two times to pay it forward at a local coffee shop.
  • Team Habitat is planning to roll up their sleeves and help build a home for a worthy family, by volunteering for a Habitat for Humanity build day. Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit organization that helps families build and improve places to call home. They believe affordable housing plays a critical role in strong and stable communities.
  • BINGO! Our second NLB Kearney team is planning a bingo night for the current residents of Brookestone Gardens in Kearney. With bingo, prizes and pizza it will be a fun night for everyone!
  • Team Hope will be delivering wish list items to the Bridge of Hope Child Advocacy Center.  They will be donating items such as bottled water, toilet paper, paper towels, stationary, clothing, and food items on April 12th. Their goal is to bring awareness to Child Abuse Prevention Month and the services that the Bridge of Hope provides to the community. Follow the Bridge of Hope on Facebook to see their calendar of events and learn more about how you can help provide support to victims of child abuse.

The Project [Blank] teams look forward to making a positive impact on our local community through their initiatives! They hope that with everyone’s generous contributions they can help those in need while also celebrating NebraskaLand Bank’s 25th anniversary in a meaningful way!
