At times, it can seem like 24 hours a day just isn't enough time to get everything done. NebraskaLand Bank’s Mobile Deposit service gives you more control over your time by eliminating trips to the bank to make deposits.

Using the latest technology, Mobile Deposit allows you to use your mobile device to deposit checks electronically wherever and whenever it's convenient for you. It’s easy, convenient and secure.

Getting Started

To use Mobile Deposit, simply download the NebraskaLand Bank Mobile Banking app. From within the navigation menu of the Mobile Banking app, select “Deposit” and follow the onscreen prompts.

Frequently Asked Questions and Answers

Who can use Mobile Deposit?

In general, all customers with a NebraskaLand Bank checking or savings account that have downloaded the Mobile Banking app can use Mobile Deposit. However, the Bank reserves the right to restrict or deny service if the account is not in good standing.

Are there limits for deposits made using Mobile Deposit?

Yes, there are standards for the dollar amount per item and total amount per day. If an item exceeds the set limits you will receive a notification. Please contact us if you need a higher limit for an item you are attempting to deposit.  

When will the deposit be available?

Check deposits made using Mobile Deposit are subject to verification and will generally be available for withdrawal the next business day. Next day availability has a 4:30 pm CST cutoff time. Mobile Deposits received on weekends, bank holidays, and after cutoff time are processed on the next business day.

What is Mobile Deposit?

NebraskaLand Bank’s Mobile Deposit is a service available within the Mobile Banking app that allows consumers to deposit checks into their checking or savings account using their mobile device.

How do I endorse my check for Mobile Deposit?

Checks submitted for Mobile Deposit will require the endorsement “For Mobile Deposit Only” followed by your signature.

Is there a charge for Mobile Deposit?

There is no charge for the first 25 items deposited during a statement cycle.  A fee of $0.50 per item will be charged for items over 25 deposited during a statement cycle. 

How do I sign up for Mobile Deposit?

To gain access to Mobile Deposit, you must download the NebraskaLand Bank Mobile Banking app and enroll. If you are already an Online Banking user, you will download the Mobile Banking app and use your online banking credentials to login. Once in the Mobile Banking app, you will see the deposit icon located in the navigation menu.

How will I know if I've been denied access to Mobile Deposit?

If the Bank determines to deny your access, the Mobile Deposit service will not be available to you and will not appear as an option within your Mobile Banking app.

What types of checks can I deposit with Mobile Deposit?

The following check types can be submitted using Mobile Deposit:

  • Personal checks payable to the account holder drawn on a United States Bank
  • Business checks payable to the account holder drawn on a United States Bank

The following check types will not be accepted using Mobile Deposit:

  • Traveler’s checks
  • Savings bonds
  • Money orders
  • Foreign checks
  • Substitute checks
  • Returned checks
  • Postdated or stale dated checks more than 6 months old
  • Checks payable to any person or entity other than the account holder
  • Checks that have previously been negotiated via any method at NebraskaLand Bank or any other financial institution
How will I know the bank received my deposit and if it has been accepted?

You will receive a confirmation that the deposit was successful. You will then receive an email confirmation when your deposit is accepted. If the transaction is rejected, you will receive a notice stating why.

What are common reasons my deposit may be rejected?

Your deposit could be rejected for the following reasons:

  • Missing endorsement
  • Poor quality image of check
  • Amount is not legible or doesn’t match the check amount you entered
  • Exceeded daily or per item limit
  • Account is overdrawn or not in good standing
What do I do with my check after it has been deposited?

Once you receive notification that your deposit was accepted and the funds appear in your account, write “void” or “electronically processed.” NebraskaLand Bank recommends that you retain the check for 14 days. After 14 days, we recommend you shred the check and dispose of it accordingly.

What happens if I discover an error on my part or the Bank's, such as a check being deposited twice?

Any known issues or discrepancies should be reported to the Bank immediately. An intentional or unintentional misuse may result in termination of Mobile Deposit access.
