The last 6 months of 2019 were busy! We were busy not only with our dedication to our customers and our community but also growing our team with some new faces. We are excited to introduce you to the newest members of the NLB team.
Amy Jay is the newest member of the Finance Department; she not only brings her expertise to her position as Internal Auditor, she also brings her fun loving attitude and strong work ethic. We asked Amy:
What makes you proud to work at NLB? “The amazing employees at NLB make me proud to work here. NLB does a great job being employee-oriented as well as community-minded and it shows in the workforce employed here. The bank supports community service and volunteer hours, so you see a lot of our employees involved and active in the community; not because they are asked to, but because they want to. People genuinely care about one another and take care of each other”
What keeps you motivated? “My family, both at home and at work. I have an amazing husband, three beautiful children, and such a great work family as well. My work family makes it easy to come to work every day while my home family makes it easy to leave at the end of the day. I am truly grateful.”
Who would you like to swap places with for a day? “Blake Lively. Um…you know why! 😉 and, it is not because I love gin.”
What is your Favorite Meal? “Every year on my birthday I ask for the same meal: grilled steak, mashed potatoes, sautéed mushrooms and a glass of red Zinfandel (preferably Ravenswood Lodi Old Vine – I’ve been to the winery twice or Ridge). MMmmmm.”
Chantel Burch joined the NLB team as Marketing Coordinator. Her creativity, attention to detail, and her determination that nothing is beyond her is a major win for the Marketing Department. (Let’s face it her rock star Photoshop skills has had us all amazed.) We asked Chantel;
What’s your favorite thing about working at NLB? “My favorite thing about working for NLB are the people I work with. Everyone has been welcoming and inclusive. I feel at home.”
What makes you proud to work at NLB? “I am so grateful to be part of an organization that places such high emphasis on internal work culture. I am proud to be a part of a locally owned business that truly nurtures and gives back to the communities in which they serve.”
What was your childhood Dream Job? “I wanted to be a singing performer at Lagoon Amusement Park in Utah.”
If you could visit one landmark, which would it be? “Leap Castle in Ireland”
Lexi Melroy joined our Kearney team as a Teller. There is nothing that Lexi is not willing to jump right in and learn! She not only has a knack for making our customers feel welcome but also her coworkers. We asked Lexi;

Ricki Reason joined the Teller Line at our North Platte Location. She is a great asset to the team! Her unique personality will make you feel right at home. We asked Ricki;
What keeps you motivated? “What keeps me motivated is knowing each day I continue to grow as a person. Also every day is a step closer to achieving my major life goals and dreams.”
What’s your favorite thing about working at NLB? “I have 3 favorite things: 1. The co-workers and that everyone knows you by your name. 2. That I feel appreciated every day. 3. My job of being a Teller and the hours I work.”
What makes you proud to work at NLB? “Working for a company that is community minded and does a lot of volunteer work around the community. Also that all the work is done right here in the bank.”
