Personal Banker (North Platte)

Location: North Platte

Description:

Personal Bankers play a vital role in the customer banking experience.  Acquire, retain and expand new and existing relationships. Proactively meet with customers - face to face or over the phone - to discover their financial needs and provide product recommendations. Contribute directly to the success of the Bank by maximizing the depth and profitability of the customer's relationship.

Qualifications:

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Ability to open personal checking accounts, savings accounts, certificates of deposit and safe deposit boxes. Cross-selling additional products and services to enhance the customer’s relationship and meet his or her financial needs. Products and services include, but are not limited to debit cards, Elan Credit Cards, automatic transfers, direct deposit, Bill Pay, Online Banking and Mobile Banking.
  2. Ability to perform “service” inquiries such as address changes, card limit changes, account verifications (including SSA), ordering checks, online banking set-up, responding to online email questions, ordering new debit card, wire request, stop payments, ach disputes, unlocking online services, bill pay set-up, closing accounts, check orders, internal transfers, name changes and signer updates.
  3. Responsible for correcting account documents and input errors in a timely manner.
  4. Practice friendly and courteous customer service while performing all tasks of the job.  This should be exhibited when working with all customers and coworkers in person or on the phone.
  5. View daily reports for accuracy and correct entries as needed (examples: weekly new money report, weekly maturing CD report, Safe Deposit Box Report).
  6. Assist customers in accessing their Safe Deposit Box
  7. Read and follow all written procedures of the bank. Participate in internal training sessions. Place special emphasis on the areas of compliance with the Bank regulations.

Secondary Responsibilities:

  1. Answer over-flow calls from the Receptionist Desk and at times fill in.
  2. Perform a variety of teller duties or transactions as needed.
    1. Utilize the computer system to process the customer’s request and print a receipt.
    2. Perform any research that is necessary.
    3. Practice cautious measures when handling his/her cash drawer.  This includes practicing dual control at all times and adhering to the cash limits that are outlined in written procedures.
  3. Follow all bank policies and procedures with special emphasis in confidentiality, compliance and projecting a professional image at all times.
  4. Assume additional responsibilities as required.
