How are you adjusting to daylight savings? There is a new bill working its way through the senate and house right now proposing an end to the time change, the Nebraska Lock the Clock Bill. Our guest today, the CEO of the NebraskaLand Bank and newly appointed Senator Mike Jacobson, knows a lot about this bill and joins us to discuss his journey from our bank to senator. 

As many of us have probably noticed, the housing market has become a real issue in the past few years. Today, two of our senior Vice Presidents, Tonya Duncan and Josh Harm, join us to discuss the real estate market in North Platte. Tonya is our mortgage lending manager and Josh is our business banking manager. They work with clients throughout the North Platte market to help them in their home buying journey. But for many, this has been a lot harder of a dream to realize recently. 

In addition to his current duties as President and CEO of NebraskaLand Bank, Mike Jacobson has been appointed at State Senator of the 42nd District of the Nebraska Legislature.

On today’s episode, North Platte guitar prodigy, Jack Bunger joins us in the studio. Jack is a senior at North Platte High School and one of our students in the NebraskaLand University Program. Jack and the Pros will be playing a variety of blues-rock at the Fox Theater on Saturday, March 5th.

In 2004, the “My Fair Share” program was born from our culture and the commitment to do our part to make the communities we live in places that we can be proud of.
