Our Journey to One Million Steps

Our Journey to One Million Steps

It’s that time again for NLB’s annual “Race to a Million”.  For the next 90 days NLB teams of three will be lacing up their walking shoes and putting their best feet forward and race to be the first team to reach one million steps.  The first team to reach a million steps will win bragging rights, and a total of $750 for the team to donate to the nonprofit of their choice.  That $250 for each team member!

A Culture Stronger than COVID-19

As we are entering a stage in the pandemic where we, and other businesses are beginning to open doors “normal” looks a bit different. We strive to ensure that we reference regulations and guidelines that are in place for what matters most, our people and our community. As a way to safeguard, we are offering face coverings for our employees, implemented Plexiglas coverings, and social distance markers throughout our facility.

Teach Children to Save at Home

Every year NebraskaLand Bank teams up with the American Bankers Association in a joint effort to Teach Children to Save.  In years past, NLB volunteers would collaborate with Madison Middle School in North Platte as well as Buffalo Hills Elementary School in Kearney to take over a classroom and teach the students in person.  This year, with classrooms across the nation moving to the kitchen table, we are bringing Teach Children to Save into your home as well.  We want to provide you with tools and fun activities that will break the ice and start a conversation with your kids about money
