Every year NebraskaLand Bank- Kearney is enthusiastic to put on our Annual Trunk-or-treat event. Where local businesses and organizations construct spooky, cute and fantastical trick-or-treat stations from their company and volunteer vehicles.

On September 1, 2022, the Nebraska Bankers Association held their Fall Agri-Business Conference in Lincoln.  Among the activities, the NBA recognized Sen. Mike Jacobson President and CEO of NebraskaLand Bank, with the 2022 NBA Agri-business Recognition Award. The award has been presented each year since 1983 to individuals who have made significant contributions to the state of Nebraska and its agricultural industry.

Carol Pelster, Vice President Branch Manager, Kearney, has graduated  from the Graduate School of Banking at Colorado’s state-of-the-art graduate school of banking program. Pelster was named one of 21 students to graduate with honors out of 169 students graduating in the class of 2022 during a ceremony on July 28, 2022, in Boulder, Colo.

NebraskaLand Bank has been named the 2022 recipient of the Nebraska Bankers Association ‘Bank Innovation Award’. The ‘Bank Innovation Award’ is presented to a bank who implemented an innovative way to improve financial literacy. The Nebraska Bankers Association selected NebraskaLand Bank for this award for its state of the art financial literacy scholarship program, NebraskaLand University. In addition to receiving the ‘Bank Innovation Award’ NebraskaLand Bank was also named to the LiFE Honors List by the Nebraska Bankers Association, this award recognizes banks that are financial education leaders in their communities. “Congratulations to NebraskaLand Bank for this well-deserved honor,” said NBA President and CEO Richard Baier. “Their creativity and dedication to financial education through NebraskaLand University will give students a solid foundation for a lifetime of financial success.”

NLB employees can be found volunteering at a variety of events throughout the year; after all, we take great pride in our volunteerism.  Not only are the employees of NLB generous with their time, but they also give back to the community monetarily through the “My Fair Share Program”. In 2004, the “My Fair Share” program was born from our culture and the commitment to do our part to make the communities we live in places that we can be proud of.
